Mpa S To Poise

Centipoise (cP), dynamic viscosity The poise is often used with the metric prefix centi. A centipoise is one millipascal-second (mPas) in SI units. (1 cP = 10 -2 P = 10 -3 Pas) Centipoise is properly abbreviated cP, but the alternate abbreviations cps and cPs are also commonly seen. Pascal-second (Pa s) - metric system unit of viscosity. 1 Pa s = 1 N/m 2.s poise (P) - cgs unit of viscosity that is equal to 0.1 pascal-second centipoise - unit of viscosity. Centi prefix is a SI prefix and means hundredth part. This arises because of the internal molecular friction within the fluid producing the frictional drag effect. There are two related measures of fluid viscosity which are known as. Pascal-second (symbol: Pa.s) + milliPascal-second (symbol: mPa.s) This is the SI unit of viscosity, equivalent to newton-second per square metre (Ns m–2). It is sometimes referred to as the poiseuille (symbol Pl). One poise is exactly 0.1 Pas. One poiseuille is 10 poise or 1000 cP, while 1 cP = 1 mPas (one millipascal-second).

How to convert poises to millipascal-seconds [P to mPa·s]:

Platinum preppy converter

ηmPa·s = 100 × ηP

How many millipascal-seconds in a poise:
If ηP = 1 then
ηmPa·s = 100 × 1 = 100 mPa·s

How many millipascal-seconds in 42 poises:
If ηP = 42 then
ηmPa·s = 100 × 42 = 4 200 mPa·s

Note: Poise is a centimeter-gram-second (CGS) unit of dynamic viscosity. Millipascal-second is a metric unit of dynamic viscosity.

Weights and Measurements

A yoctonewton is a SI-multiple (see prefix yocto) of the force unit newton and equal to 1 divided by 1024 newton

Energy is the ability to do work, and it comes in different forms: heat (thermal), light (radiant), motion (kinetic), electrical, chemical, nuclear and gravitational.

Calculators

Note: poise (P) is a unit of dynamic viscosity (g cm-1 sViscosity-1) which in the above table is divided by density (lb ft-3). The use of such mixed units is certainly not recommended.

Kinematic Viscosity

Definition:
Dynamic viscosity divided by the density of the liquid; this gives a quantity which depends only on the type of the liquid, independent of its concentration or density. The quotient has units length squared divided by time.

To use the measurement conversion calculators simply enter a number value into the desired field and click calculate. All results shown will be equivalent values. Values are given to seven significant figures ( the odd result may show 9's or 0's over running). Values of 10 000 or greater will be displayed in the e-format e.g. 2.3456e7 which equals 2.3456 x 107 or 23 456 000. Values lower than 0.001 will be displayed in the e-format e.g. 2.3456e-5 which equals 2.3456 x 10-5 or 0.000 023456. The calculators require that your browser has java script enabled.
